Columbia Gorge Overlook, 1940s
An overlook above the Columbia River Gorge in the 1940s. The historic Columbia River Highway, completed in 1922 as the first paved highway in the Pacific Northwest, generated steady demand for scenic overlook imagery from Oregon tourism boards and regional publications.
